Who is Hjelseth|Pilant Real Estate?

Brandon Hjelseth

Broker & Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist

Brandon is a native of the greater Tacoma area and has been privileged to grow up in such a beautiful part of the Pacific Northwest. After attending Life Christian Academy in Tacoma, he graduated from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Sports Management, as well as a fiancé!

Brandon and Brittney were married in 2012. Brandon started his real estate practice in 2013 with RE/MAX Professionals. In his first years, he proved to be a rising star in the real estate world, far surpassing expectations of his clients and colleagues, and he hasn’t slowed down since.

Brandon’s passions outside of real estate are Brittney and their young children: Harper, Tanner, Tatum and Scarlett! When not serving his family and clients, he does enjoy a round of golf. He prides himself on going the extra mile for his clients and delivering the ultimate level of service.

George Pilant

Founding Partner

A Tacoma native, George started his real estate career in 1991. In addition to receiving sales awards for 20+ years and co-hosting a radio talk show out of Seattle (Real Estate Radio), George served on the Washington Real Estate Commission from 2005-2017. There, he led the effort to raise the bar for educational standards and professionalism in the real estate industry.

After 33 years, it is time for George to pass the baton to Brandon Hjelseth and as he is now officially retired from real estate (2024). He is grateful for you, his friends and clients (and clients who became friends), for allowing him to help you in some of your most critical life moments, and for the support you gave him with your referrals to your friends, colleagues and family.

Moving forward, George and his wife, Helen, finished building their dream home on the beach in Gig Harbor. They have a big family, and in retirement, they will often be summer-camp counselors at the beach house for their many grandchildren, grandnieces and nephews and extended family. They will also travel a bit. They have a trailer and lots of national parks to visit, and an African safari  in May. They say they have been blessed with a good life and will continue to pay it forward with our charity work in our community.

“I have had a rewarding career, good friends and good health. I wish that and more for you. Hopefully our paths will cross in the future and while I cannot assist you with your real estate questions in any formal way, I can certainly chat with you about your plans and dreams, as I have done in the past. The difference will be that Brandon will be the one to take you to the finish line.”
